Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll

I have always had a special place in my heart for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I remember working in the darkroom making photographs jamming out to "Maps" and "Gold Lion". Their creative music is inspirational and exciting. "Heads Will Roll" has the same quality of their past albums, but is also different in that it follows the upbeat blood rushing sensation of fellow artists like Passion Pit and Discovery. Listening to this particular song with its morbidly suggestive lyrics, I can't help but think of the movie: Marie Antoinette. Sofia Coppola's direction gave the movie modern and artful representation with an outstanding soundtrack. The only problem I had with the movie is that I didn't get to see Ms. Antoinette beheaded. If there were such a scene, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's single would have served as a perfect score for it. I can imagine the French crowds cheering and dancing for the guillotine. I guess I'm sick, but it would have been especially fun to shoot.
